Welcome to the NASBHC Road Map!The Road Map is available to Members Only. Want to become a member? You want to serve students, helping them to be healthier and better prepared to learn, and you feel that the best way to serve them is by having a school-based health center (SBHC). The National Assembly on School-Based Health Care (NASBHC) Road Map is a tool to help you on your journey from the early stages of planning a SBHC through the first year or two of operations. There are ten categories or “exits” to explore. Although numbered one through ten, they are not entirely linear and not dependent on one another. What you need on your journey and when you need it depends on your past experiences and your own set of skills. However, with any journey, you may want to take Exit One at Planning and Evaluation. It helps to lay the foundation for the rest of the journey. Each category will have resources broken down into types: tools, presentations, NASBHC policy and procedure templates, SBHC samples, and reference materials. In addition, there are links or “detours” to other websites for additional resources and organizations that may help you on your journey. The Road Map is scheduled for improvements and maintenance over time, with new supporting materials and resources added as they become available.
