SBHC Quality Improvement Initiatives

NASBHC designed a series of collaboratives to assist school-based health centers (SBHCs) in their pursuit of quality improvement. Our goals were to

1. Foster positive change in school-based health care practice;
2. Demonstrate school-based health centers’ commitment to meeting— in fact, surpassing— key child health quality standards;
3. Assess the challenges of adapting quality improvement models for school health centers;
4. Organize a nationally accessible tool box of resources for the field’s continued self-improvement.

The quality improvement experience of nearly 100 SBHCs over five years is documented in these brief program descriptions.
