Health Care Reform and SBHCs
Breaking news!
HRSA has postponed the FY 2010 School Based Health Center Equipment (HRSA-10-276) funding opportunity. According to HRSA, the cancellation of the initial grant is in response to the high volume of questions they received from the SBHC field concerning the application criteria, the cap for multi-site school-based health centers, and the limited application development time.
HRSA will release new guidance for the funding opportunity in September.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (P.L.111-148) includes two important provisions for school-based health centers (SBHCs): language authorizing a federal SBHC grant program, and an emergency appropriation that would provide $200 million for SBHCs over four years.
