Evaluation And Quality
It is NASBHC's goal to build the capacity of the national, state, and local school-based health care community by setting national standards for quality health care delivery in school-based health centers (SBHCs). NASBHC supplies data which describes the model, supports advocacy efforts, improves practice, identifies trends and emerging best practices, and trains on what is learned. The strategies in place to achieve this goal include:
-
National surveillance of school-based health care
-
Development and maintenance of evaluation tools
-
Dissemination of national research and evaluation of SBHCs
-
Facilitation of national discussion regarding the definition of appropriate health, mental health, and education program and performance measures and outcomes for SBHCs
-
Development and maintenance of a national evaluation agenda for SBHCs
