2007 Convention Attendees to Support NASBHC

4 Million by 2012

Every day millions of children and adolescents are denied affordable, high-quality health services because of basic inequities in this country. School-based health centers (SBHCs) bring the doctor’s office to the school, uniting health and education to transform the lives of students. Currently, school-based health centers belong to too few children.  NASBHC plans to expand SBHC access to 4 million children by doubling the number of SBHCs to 3,400 by 2012.

The Independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to the members of Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America that have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to certify, document, and demonstrate on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness.
