General Advocacy Tools
School-based health care advocates can educate current and future elected officials about the needs and benefits of SBHCs. Get some tips from the below action guides:
1. Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper.
2. Create a SBHC virtual tour.
3. Invite federal lawmakers to tour a SBHC
4. Participate in local candidate forums and raise the visibility and support of SBHCs.
5. Organize a meeting at your member of Congress' district
office. Gather a group of constituents to meet with your
elected official.
